Sometimes a SNAP Review (quick commentary) is more than appropriate for films I either missed or had no desire to see in the theater. Falling directly into the latter category sits Olympus Has Fallen, starring Gerrard Butler and the always impressive Morgan Freeman (though truth be told, he was clearly looking for a payday on this journey).
SNAP Review | Olympus Has Fallen
Was never interested in theater viewing (as it turns out for good reason) but friends highly recommended this piece of hollow filmography and suggested I watch it. Went with it as a hotel room rental and paid a dear price in both sanity and cheddar. In associating the word “bad” with this film does bad an injustice; it was absolutely an indelibly horrendous experience with poorly cast actors, an absent plot, near impossible to watch action, and a finish which hit every stereotype known to man. I actually apologized to family and friends who watched it with me (after I insisted we watch it) at the film’s conclusion. Should I come down with a lethal illness like scabees or contract the Ebola virus and I’m on a hospital bed craving entertainment, I would rather watch the heart monitor blip up and down than ever watch Olympus Has Fallen again. Rated a 1 of 10 because it was a shocking waste of time and money.
