Just strolled in from watching The Hurt Locker. An impressively intense movie, it follows the trials and emotion of a three-man EOD (explosive ordinance disposal) squad in 2004 Iraq. Filmed in an indie, gritty, camera shake kind of style, the theater experience is impressive but not required. This movie will translate easily to DVD because the raw emotion of the story, not the special effects, tell the story. It is hard not to describe the movie while preserving the integrity of the story so I’ll leave you with this: well worth seeing and be sure to bring something to clutch or nibble on because tension and stress are integral characters. Excellent movie.
